Quality Management at VMF :

VMF Soft Tech Limited moves higher in its pursuit of becoming a Global Software Services and Solutions Provider by obtaining the ISO-9001:2000 certification for design, development and installation of Client/Server, Web-centric e-commerce, and mobile computing software solutions, from KPMG.

The ISO-9001:2000 certification is the recognition of VMF's obsession of providing world-class quality software services and solutions globally. Such recognition conferred on VMF by KPMG puts VMF as an emerging force as a recognized global software services and solutions provider.

At VMF, QUALITY does not happen by accident; it is planned. It is defined as the measure of customer delight. We are engaged in an ongoing journey of continuous measurable improvements, championed by empowered individuals at all level of the company. Our leadership philosophy inspires teamwork, trust and belief in people, which results in an enjoyable and productive workplace, dedicated to the highest possible level of customer satisfaction.

At VMF, we have defined "QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (QMS)" as a system to establish Quality Policy and Quality Objectives so as to have effective management of internal processes for enhancing customer satisfaction. Our QMS is founded on:

  • Tools and techniques for continuous improvement

For VMF, software development is an Engineering Process, where tools and methods are applied to arrive at the best solution, and is supported by Quality Management System and Internal Quality Audits. VMFites are continuously exposed to various training courses on Quality, Software Engineering and on specific tools and techniques such as Configuration Management, Version Control, Code Reviews, and validation and verification processes.

The Quality Policy emphasizes the following basic quality management principles:

Being customer-focused
VMF thrives to be a customer-oriented or customer-focused organization by deploying its resources and processes to understand present and future needs of its customers, with respect to their organizational processes, managerial priorities, technology investments, and the delivery and cost of incremental feasible solutions. Customer satisfaction is measured and taken as feedback to improve upon, and to exceed the customer expectations. We, at VMF, strongly believe that customer is the most important visitor on our premises, and therefore, is a part of VMF, getting the ultimate focus. We promise to deliver solutions that make their work easier, more efficient, and more cost effective. In spite of specialization and wide spectrum of skills, all VMFites speak of only one objective, namely, "delighting our customers" .

Involvement and empowerment of people
VMF believes that its people are the real resources, which would delight its customers. People at VMF, therefore, are encouraged to participate in group- discussions, share their experiences of serving customers, and seek guidance on issues requiring help from other creative minds. Those who take active responsibilities and demonstrate a quest of solving difficult problems - technology and management - and scaling processes to get results, are empowered with authority to work with customers and take decisions independently, increased budget allocations, and personal rewards for delighting a customer through ESOP.

Process standardization
With a firm commitment to customers' needs and philosophy of involving and empowering people, processes scale up and expand in all directions, invading all areas of the organization! Standardization of processes at VMF addresses the issue of management of process-orientation. It is a firm belief of VMF that all challenges at the core of business are unique, yet form an explicit or implicit pattern, which may lead to a solution that addressed the similar challenges for either many other organizations in the industry or for VMF itself in past. VMF utilizes these explicit and implicit patterns to evolve a process framework, which brings standardization. Investments in industry standard tools and process initiatives are one part of VMF's quality initiatives. Evolving standard forms, formats, procedures, and manual and/or automated systems within VMF form the other core of its quality initiatives.

Continuous process improvement
The inherent culture at VMF pushes its people and processes for continuous improvement through corrective/preventive actions, internal quality audits and frequent management reviews. At VMF, improvement is a norm and is institutionalized through periodic meetings to discuss prevention based activities, frequent training programs emphasizing process standardization and improvement, and empowering people who innovate, standardize, and improve.

WE WILL THEREFORE COMPLY WITH ISO 9001:2000 STANDARD AND CONTINUALLY IMPROVE OUR QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND ITS PROCESSES BY DOING THINGS RIGHT THE FIRST TIME THROUGHOUT ALL AREA OF OUR OPERATIONS.
